The Achievement Gap: A Community Problem…

…requiring a community solution.  This is an interesting video that emphasizes the importance of empowering communities to address educational (specifically achievement gap) issues.  I like the response from one participant regarding a national response to a local problem – “How are you going to fix a problem in my house, when you don’t live there?”  For more on keeping educational reform local, see my post on Grassroots School Reform.
