10 Second Delay: Two Questions to Guide Decisions

timepiece prime time clock closeup watch
Imagine the possibilities, if–like live radio–we could operate on a ten second delay.  It would give us the decision making opportunity to ponder two critical questions that could dramatically impact our educational practices.

  1. What is my purpose?
  2. Does my purpose serve the best interest of students?

If there is not a clear answer to the first question–time to rethink.  If the answer to the second question is anything but an emphatic yes–time to discontinue.  Regardless of your role in the educational field, work on a ten second delay and maintain students as the focus of all decisions.
