Have you ever noticed how much information is available on the internet?
Of course you have.
Have you ever considered all of the possible educational applications of the information that is on the internet?
If you are an educator, yes.
Have you ever spent hours sifting through the proverbial mountain of information returned by a simple Google search, filtering out useful information and then finding authentic ways that it can be applied to generate meaningful discussions, ideas, and solutions?
Have you ever been so overwhelmed by the number of tools, volume of media, availability of expertise and “proximity” of distant cultures that you have thought…we better teach our students how to evaluate, manage and appropriately apply all of this stuff…?
I hope so.
