This morning, I ran across this video, entitled He Was Me, on YouTube. It was created by the Peter H. Reynolds (@peterhreynolds), the founder of FableVision. I had the opportunity to hear Peter speak at this year’s ASCD Conference in San Francisco. His message about the importance of encouraging creativity in our students resonated with me and inspired the post, Don’t Squish My Ish – Inspiring Creators.
This short video story emphasizes the importance of taking time, as adults, to enjoy the little things in our lives and allow our inner child some freedom. Creativity, amazement, and awe shouldn’t end with a diploma, or at a certain age (i.e. 40). Life long curiosity and learning should be a goal for everyone.
I LOVE IT! THANKS SO MUCH!!! I’m going to use it with the adults in our V-ii Center (Visionary-innovation incubator) as part of the concept to assist the “adult learners” in the Learning Networks based in our high school as a pilot program! PERFECT message for this phase of our V-ii program concept!!
